Privacy policy
Short version: we ask for nothing unless you write to us, our server keeps a two-week log to count reads, and the third parties that collect data are named below.
Changed in October 2026: the controller named below is now the site's author, as an individual (October 5). On October 6, privacy requests moved to a new contact email and the contact page gained a short form. On October 7, the site began counting reads through its own server, and this policy now describes the server log. All three are described below. The third parties that process data did not change.
This policy covers Brazil Manual (brazilmanual.com). It is written to satisfy the
Brazilian Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (Law 13.709/2018) and the European
GDPR, and to be readable by a person.

What we collect directly
There is no account, no sign-up, no newsletter and no comment section on this site. The one place that asks for anything is the contact form, and only if you choose to use it: your name, the email address you want the reply sent to, a subject and your message.
What you send through the form is stored on the server that hosts this site and forwarded to the contact email address above, where the author reads and answers it. It is used only to reply to you: it is not added to any list, not used for marketing and not shared with anyone. To stop automated spam, the server checks the sending IP address to allow one message per minute; that address is not saved with your message.
If you write by email instead, we have the address you sent from. Either way, we keep the message only as long as the conversation needs, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time.
Like almost every website, the server that hosts this site keeps a log of the requests it receives: the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the page you came from (when your browser sends it) and your browser's user-agent string. When a page stays open and visible for a few seconds, it also sends one small request to the same server, so we can count how many people actually read each guide. That request carries only the page's address, sets no cookie and lands in the same log.
We use the log only to count visits and reads and to keep the site running. It is not combined with other data, not used for advertising and not shared. Log files are deleted automatically after about two weeks; what we keep longer are daily totals, such as how many reads a guide had, with no IP address in them.
What third parties collect
The site uses services that set cookies or collect usage data on their own. They are named here because "third-party partners" tells you nothing:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — measures pages viewed, approximate location by IP, device and browser, and how you arrived. IP anonymization is on. This is what tells us which guides are useful.
- Google AdSense (Google LLC) — serves advertising and may use cookies to limit how often you see the same ad and to measure it. Google's own policy is at policies.google.com.
- Adsterra — serves advertising under the same terms.
We do not sell data, and we have no access to anything that identifies you personally through these services. What we see is aggregate.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookie of its own. The services above may set theirs. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; nothing on this site stops working if you do — there is nothing here that needs to remember you.
Your rights
Under the LGPD and the GDPR you can ask what data exists about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and withdraw consent. Write to contato@lumemidia.com.br and we answer within 15 days.
Because we hold almost nothing, most requests are really about the third-party services above, and we will tell you plainly which of them to contact and how.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revision date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes — a new service collecting data, for instance — are stated at the top rather than folded quietly into the text.
